Crew Available
New Zealand, Octopus Tales, South Pacific Sailing — By Kelly on April 18, 2011 5:28 PMHow are we going about finding a boat to take us to the South Pacific?
First we have to let as many people as possible know that we are available to crew and want to go to the islands. We have registered on all the crewing and sailing websites. We roam marina docks and ask anyone we see on a boat if they plan to sail to Fiji. We also made the flyer below which we have posted on notice boards at the marinas in Auckland, Whangarei, and Opua (Bay of Islands). In doing so, we realized that we are not the only people out there wanting to crew on boats heading to the islands. Looks like we have some competition … fingers crossed we find our boat soon!
In the meantime we are taking Octopus on a tour of the Northland …

Still looking! If only we had $$$ to buy our own yacht and sail ourselves to Fiji! Thinking of robbing a bank : )
