About Me

As I near my 30th birthday, I am embarking on an open-ended, round-the-world journey in search of new experiences, fresh perspectives, adventure, and inspiration!

I was born and raised outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and while I am still a Southern Belle, five years in San Francisco has opened my eyes, mind, and heart. I am fun-loving, extremely open-minded, and have a free spirit that few can tame, although many have tried. Creative with an entrepreneurial flare, I am always thinking up new ideas. I am super social by nature, and I am lucky to have many friends all over the country, each of them so very different. I love meeting new people and having a busy social life, but there is a big, increasingly undeniable part of me that longs for solitude and stillness.

Some of my favorite pastimes include: playing sports, traveling, hiking, kayaking, reading, photography, meditation, cooking, dancing, jewelry making, air-hockey, sleeping late, laughing, and spending time with family & friends.

Some of my favorite things include: wine, picnics, thunderstorms, sunsets, roller coasters, happy hour, feather pillows, 1st kisses, pickles, flip flops, kittens, bubble baths, buffets, fresh flowers, fried chicken legs, coke icys, beaches, pajamas, chocolate, dibs and shoes.

I have developed a major travel bug and I long for a break from the “real world” of full-time jobs, routines, and demanding obligations. I have spent the past 7 years working in the advertising/marketing industry as a Print Production Manager. I also have a passion for real estate and have worked part-time selling residential real estate, as well as investing in my own. I am ready for a job that is not in my industry that allows for fun times while meeting new people.

I have a feeling 30 is going to be a great year!

Kelly – I’m jealous! It’ll be a terrific adventure and I hope you enjoy every moment of it. You deserve it. Don’t break too many Aussie hearts!

Have fun! Be careful! If I win the lottery or if teachers in GA get a major increase in pay I’ll come see you! When you get a chance try to read the Idiot Girl’s Action Adventure Club by Laurie Notaro. It makes me laugh out loud! Some of the stories remind me of us! You are going to be like the traveling Uncle on Fraggle Rock! I can’t wait to get the “postcards”! Love you! Amy

I admire you and this huge leap you’re taking. What a thrill! Your story is already amazing, not to mention how much more rich it is going to become. Have fun, be safe and live the dream so many people are afraid to do. Love, Christina (Figol)

I’ve always had a hard time deciding whose more crazy, you or your brother. I think Wayne is still in the lead, but you”re gaining fast. And painting my one toe nail isn’t helping your case. Good luck and have a wonderful time. I must say that I cracked up at all the old family photos you have posted. They are priceless. I love the young photos of the parents.
